Soft-Serve Machines & Frosty Equipment
Soft-serve and frozen dessert machines are precise equipment, and small changes in consistency are usually the first sign of something mechanical. RBA services and installs this equipment — covering refrigeration, dispensing, and controls.
Equipment We Service
- Soft-serve and frozen dessert machines
- Soft-serve and Frosty-style units
- Single and multi-flavour machines
- Hoppers, freezing cylinders, and dispense spouts
- Beater, drive, and seal assemblies
What We Inspect
These are the areas we commonly evaluate during service. The exact cause of the problem can only be determined after an on-site inspection.
Product consistency has changed
Softer, firmer, or icier than it should be. We look at the refrigeration side, the controls and set points, and the condition of the beater and scraper assembly.
Not freezing down
The machine runs but never reaches product temperature. We work through the sealed system, condenser condition, and airflow around the unit.
Dispense and spout problems
Dripping, sticking, uneven flow, or a spout that will not seal. Draw handles, spouts, and seals wear with use and are checked as part of any consistency complaint.
Seals, o-rings, and leaks
Product escaping past a seal is a hygiene issue as well as a mechanical one. We identify which seal has failed rather than replacing them all on principle.
Drive, beater, and motor
Unusual noise, a machine that labours, or a beater that stalls. We check the drive train and its load rather than diagnosing from the sound alone.
Installation and replacement
New machine installation, replacement of an existing unit, and making sure ventilation and clearances allow the refrigeration to work.
Service & Installation
Service covers diagnosis and repair on machines already in place — refrigeration, drive and beater assemblies, dispense hardware, seals, and controls. Installation covers new machines, replacements, and siting equipment with the clearances it needs.
Work is performed under California Contractor License CSLB #985145, with classifications C-20 Warm-Air Heating, Ventilating & Air-Conditioning and C-38 Refrigeration.
If the fault turns out to sit elsewhere — in controls, or in connected HVAC equipment — RBA handles that too, rather than passing you to another contractor.
