Questions

Questions RBA is asked

How a service request works, how an appointment gets confirmed, and what this site will and will not state. If your question is not here, ask RBA directly.

Service requests

How to tell RBA what is happening with your equipment.

How does a service request work?

Submit the equipment details and a preferred time, or call directly. RBA reviews every request and contacts you to confirm before anything is scheduled.

What happens after I submit a booking request?

Your request goes to RBA for review. The date and time you choose are treated as a preference — the appointment is not scheduled until RBA reviews the request and confirms it with you.

What should I have ready when I request service?

The equipment type, what it is doing, roughly how long it has been happening, and where the unit sits on site. None of it is required — it just means fewer questions back.

Scheduling and confirmation

What happens between sending a request and an appointment existing.

Is a preferred date and time automatically booked?

No — it is treated as a preference. RBA reviews the request and confirms the actual appointment with you directly.

Who confirms the appointment?

RBA does, directly with you. Nothing on this website schedules an appointment on its own, and no automated reply from the site should be read as a confirmation.

Can I change or cancel a request I have already sent?

Call RBA on (909) 213-3259 and it can be sorted out with you. Because a request is not a scheduled appointment until RBA confirms it, changing one before that point is straightforward.

Service hours

When regular service can be scheduled — and what that does not mean.

What are your service hours?

Regular service hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Saturday is by appointment, and Sunday is closed for regular service. Emergency service is subject to availability, and work outside regular hours may be charged an after-hours rate.

Can I book a Saturday?

Saturday service is by appointment. Send a request with Saturday as your preferred date and RBA will confirm with you whether it can be worked — it is not booked until RBA confirms it.

Do you work Sundays?

Sunday is closed for regular service, so it is not offered when you choose a preferred date. Emergency service is subject to availability — call (909) 213-3259 to ask.

What if I need someone outside your regular hours?

Emergency service is subject to availability, and work outside regular service hours may be charged an after-hours rate. Call (909) 213-3259 and RBA will go through it with you — no figure is published, and availability is confirmed directly.

Equipment and service categories

Which kinds of commercial equipment RBA covers.

Do you handle both refrigeration and HVAC?

Yes. RBA A/C-R Control is licensed for both — C-20 HVAC and C-38 Refrigeration under CSLB #985145 — so one contractor covers walk-ins, reach-ins, ice machines, and heating and air conditioning.

What equipment does RBA work on?

Six categories: walk-in coolers and freezers, reach-in coolers and freezers, commercial ice machines, frozen beverage dispensers, soft-serve machines and frosty equipment, and heating and air conditioning. Each has its own page listing the equipment inside it.

I am not sure which category my equipment falls under.

Choose the closest one when you submit a request and describe the equipment — RBA will sort it out on review. Calling and describing the unit works just as well.

Service and installation

The license the work is carried out under, and what it covers.

Are you licensed, insured, and bonded?

Yes. California Contractor License CSLB #985145 (C-20 HVAC / C-38 Refrigeration), insured and bonded. You can verify any California Contractor License directly with the Contractors State License Board.

Do you install as well as repair?

Yes. RBA carries out both service and installation work under California License CSLB #985145, classifications C-20 HVAC and C-38 Refrigeration.

Does RBA replace equipment as well as repair it?

Installation work covers new equipment, system replacement, and relocation, carried out under the same license as the service work.

Will RBA explain what it found before starting work?

Yes. RBA talks through what was found on the equipment and what the work involves before it begins, rather than presenting it afterwards.

Pricing and estimates

Why there are no figures on this site, and how cost is handled instead.

Can I get an idea of cost before work starts?

Pricing depends on what the equipment needs, so it is discussed directly rather than published. Submit a request or call and RBA will go through it with you.

Why are there no prices listed on the website?

What a job takes depends on the equipment and on what is found on site, so a published figure would be misleading more often than it was useful. RBA goes through it with you directly instead.

Location and contact

How to reach RBA, and what this site does and does not state about coverage.

Do you cover my location?

This site does not publish a coverage list. Call (909) 213-3259 or send a request with the site location and RBA will confirm it with you directly.

Where is RBA based?

The postal address is PO Box 212, Rialto Ave., Rialto, CA 92377. That is a mailing address for correspondence, not a walk-in location — RBA works on site at your equipment.

How do I reach RBA directly?

By phone on (909) 213-3259 or by email at service@rbaacrcontrol.com. The contact page carries both, and a service request form is the fastest way to send equipment details.

Not answered here?

Anything specific to your equipment is better answered by RBA directly than by a page written in advance.
